Visitor:

It is with great pleasure, that we hereby invite you to the 11th meeting of the European Venous Forum in Antwerp from Thursday 24 June to Saturday 26 June 2010. The major aim of this meeting is to bring together researchers in the field of phlebology in a friendly meeting in which discussion is an important part of the programme. EVF 2010 will be a joint meeting with the 7th North Sea Meeting on Venous Diseases (NSMVD) that will be held on Thursday morning 24 June, organised by the Benelux Society of Phlebology.

EVF 2010 will be a very interesting meeting, not to miss in 2010! In didactic sessions with excellent invited speakers you’ll be able to update your knowledge about prevention and treatment of deep vein thrombosis, varicose vein treatment, post thrombotic syndrome, compression, and the scientific basis of venous disease. The leading thread running through the meeting will be the focus on long-term outcome in venous disease.

The venue is the Hilton Hotel in the heart of Antwerp, right in front of the Cathedral. At the conference, in Belgium’s largest hotel ballroom ‘The Belle Epoque Ballroom’ you’ll meet colleagues and friends from all over Europe and overseas. In a large exhibition area, right in front of the conference room, you’ll have the opportunity to meet our sponsors, discover new technologies and discuss future evolutions in the field of venous disease.

We would like to encourage young colleagues to send in abstracts for the free paper sessions to present their research in a 5’ or 10’ oral presentation and challenge the audience with their new insights.

After the meeting you’ll enjoy a visit to the historic centre of Antwerp, admiring the proud guild houses, with their stepped gables and gold figures, all around the main square ‘Grote Markt’, walking along the river Scheldt or taking a break on a terrace in one of the pedestrian streets with nice food and one of the many famous Belgian beers!

See you all in Antwerp
