Dear colleagues, dear friends
It is a great pleasure to invite you to the 13th Congress of the European Venous Forum (EVF) in Florence, Italy, from
Thursday 28 June to Saturday 30 June 2012.
The major aim of this meeting is to bring together clinicians and researchers working in the field of Phlebology and provide
them an opportunity to present and discuss new data in this field.
In the official program we will have didactic sessions, with excellent invited speakers that will enable you to update your knowledge about varicose veins treatment, with special attention to outcomes and economical impact, new indication of compression therapy and new insight in clinical symptoms of chronic vein insufficiency. A very important part of the scientific program will be represented by the free paper sessions. For these sessions we would like to encourage you to send in
abstracts in order to organize a very high quality scientific program and favor a friendly discussion on new data. For these reasons EVF 2012 will be one of the most interesting meetings in Europe on venous disease.
The venue for the meeting is Palazzo dei Congressi, in the center of Florence, very close (walking distance) to all the
wonderful monuments of the town. At the conference you will meet colleagues and friends from all over Europe and
overseas. The ballroom is surrounded by the exhibition area where you will have the opportunity to meet our sponsors
and discover all new technologies recently introduced in Phlebology.
After the meeting it will be possible to enjoy a visit to all the spectacular monuments of Florence, from Palazzo Vecchio
to Galleria degli Uffizi, from Piazza S. Maria Novella to Piazza del Duomo and Palazzo Pitti with all the collection of
outstanding architectures, paintings and sculptures really widespread in the town. Last but not least you will have to
